La Petite Maison's Bikini – How to Make It

We present an easy take on a drink from a new cocktail list. Designed as a batch pre-mixed that's packed full of essence associated with holiday season, which makes it excellent for a celebration. Save the extra syrup for brunch beverages, puddings, or for more rounds of this cocktail.

Bikini Recipe

Makes enough for 10 servings

Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar

For the Premix (yields 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Directions

Making the Syrup: Put the listed components inside a pan, bring to a simmer, agitating so the sugar melts. Then, turn off the burner allowing it to cool entirely. Transfer into an sterilised bottle, seal keeping it chilled, where it will keep for around four weeks.

Preparing the Cocktail Base: Combine the specified spirits and syrup into a big jug, allow it to infuse for one hour, then strain preferably using cheesecloth, so it's fully clarified.

To serve: Add 85ml of the cocktail base into a stirring glass packed with ice, gently stirring lightly for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Strain to a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, top with the cranberries and finish with a quick spritz of the essential oil over the top.
