The families of teenagers unaccounted for after a deadly fire at a establishment in a Switzerland's ski resort are facing an painful period of uncertainty for official news and pleading for clues about their family members online.

The inferno engulfed the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the early hours of January 1st. Circulated images depict the roof structure catching alight as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have indicated that it could take considerable time to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and hurt another over a hundred. Authorities noted on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with work ongoing to locate the final individuals.

In the meantime, loved ones have been taking to social media to plead for any news about their loved ones who were in attendance that evening.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, 16, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his parent.

The resident of Lutry near the city, told a local newspaper that she had returned to Lausanne to see if he was in the hospital, while his father did the same in the capital, but could not find him.

"This is a living nightmare, a nightmare. The options are finding my son in the morgue, or I find him in critical condition. It's terrible," she said.

She continued that some of his peers had been located with injuries covering a significant portion of their bodies. "There are no words; they experienced hell."

The Italy's foreign ministry has said that six of its young people remain missing.

Included in that group is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage junior golfer, who hailed from Italy but now living in the UAE.

The national sporting body has said that he is no longer with us, without directly referencing the fire, honoring a "talented young man who carried with him dedication and authentic values."

His parent, is quoted as saying that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An official spokesperson has stated that a official announcement of his death is not yet.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also unaccounted for. His mother told reporters that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with friends and ended up at the venue.

"A close friend informed me they fled after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he they were separated," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive piece of jewelry.

One of his educators said, "I remember his kindness and smile, combined with great responsibility. He would frequently ask if help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss citizenship but lives full-time in Switzerland, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to sources.

Her brother has published an appeal on social media, saying the relatives has had "no updates" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
