British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Tragic Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, Nigerian authorities confirmed on Wednesday night. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The sports star had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

His release from the hospital arrives after the sports world offered its support for the champion in the following the terrible crash.
